BBTV Signs Agreement to Provide Content Management Solutions to League of Legends Champions Korea

(TSX: BBTV) (OTCQX: BBTVF) (Frankfurt: 64V) (“BBTV” or the “Company”), the leading creator monetization company with a mission to help creators become more successful, today announced it has signed an agreement to provide Content Management solutions to League of Legends Champions Korea, the primary competition for League of Legends eSports in South Korea.
- As part of the Company’s world class Content Management Solutions, BBTV will provide Rights Management to League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK).
- Developed by Riot Games and published in 2009, League of Legends is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA) that consistently ranks as one of the most popular eSports games globally, with annual revenue that exceeded $1.75 billion U.S. dollars worldwide in 2020.[1]
- eSports, which describes the world of highly competitive and organized video gaming, saw an increase in revenue to the amount of $1.1 billion in 2021, a year-over-year growth rate of 14.5%, up from $947 million in 2020.[2]
- Content Management is a key and growing component of BBTV’s Plus Solutions and continues to represent one of the Company’s key growth areas and highest gross margins.

Developed by Riot Games and published in 2009, League of Legends is a free-to-play MOBA that consistently ranks as one of the most popular eSports games globally with an annual revenue that exceeded $1.75 billion U.S. dollars worldwide in 2020.2 The LCK is considered one of the highest profiled leagues in the world for the popular esports game, is contested by ten teams and serves as a direct route to qualification for the annual League of Legends World Championship where teams compete for the champion title, the 70-pound Summoner’s Cup, and a multi-million-dollar championship prize. In 2021, the League of Legends World Championships peaked at almost 74 million concurrent viewers.[3]
